Ukrainian mosaic art on silk scarves

This project is dedicated to the unique artistic phenomenon actively
developed in the 60's enabling artists to resist ideological censorship.
Each bus stop is a unique artwork. Most of them are now ruined or
destroyed. At that time, unofficial art was recognized as freethinking
and persecuted, so artists had to implement their art at bus stops in
remote villages, where control by the Party was weaker. Professional
authors with well-known names have invested in mosaic panels with their
thoughts, ideas, and visions of the beauty of Ukrainian nature, sacred
Ukrainian symbols, and stories of the past to leave an incredible
creative legacy. The idea to transfer mosaic drawings arose out of
admiration for the very phenomenon of mosaic bus stops and a desire to
attract attention and preserve the art. Silk scarves with mosaics are an
alternative line of gifts, filled with meaning and aesthetics.
